FDNY responded but were not able to find anything in the dark. Today, Thursday, I came across what looked like a joint-agency operation between the NYPD marine division and the US Army Corps of Engineers who have the responsibility of maintaining the channel marking bouys in the harbor and entrance. Their derrick boat, ‘Driftmaster’ as well as the NYPD Zodiak tender and other PD boats circled a certain area while NYPD divers searched the waters. The car was located and removed from the water.
