Toyota Hiace Emergency Unit Kowloon West Car 38In Hong Kong, the Emergency Unit (see 'EU' in the front plate) is one of the most versatile and most important division of the Police Force and they take up quite a large number of routine duty such as patrolling.
There are altogether 5 Emergency Units in Hong Kong. In the police car fleet of each of these units, there is a special van for transporting a police dog.
The Hiace seen here was tailor-made:
adding a pair of windows at the back of the cabin for better ventilation for the dog, which is in the metal cage.
